IE 383 is taught by Dr. Yuehwern Yih, Tompkins Professor of Industrial Engineering, every Spring semester. IE 383 encapsulates basic concepts in the design and operational control of integrated production systems. It also includes topics on facility layout and material handling, material flow and information flow, resource and capacity planning, and shop floor control and scheduling.
IE 383 is my favorite class in my junior year at Purdue University. Below are the notes I’ve taken during the semester.
