Purdue Taiwanese Student Association

Purdue Taiwanese Student Association is a registered student organization that provides resources to Taiwanese students and Taiwanese culture enthusiasts studying at Purdue University West Lafayette. Various cultural celebrations, leisure activities, and collaborative events are held monthly. Purdue TSA is most known for its annual Lunar New Year BBQ event, ski trip, and basketball tournament. Some new, plan-in-progress events are flee markets for graduating students and recruitment collaboration with tech and semiconductor companies.

First joined in freshman year as an officer, I made invaluable friendships and shared memorable moments with numerous individuals from both within and outside the organization. Elected as TSA’s event coordinator in my sophomore year, I assisted the group’s organizational structure and event planning, boosting our event average participant count from 30 to 120+ and giving it means to host large scale events. Last year, I serve TSA as its vice president external, further increasing the Taiwanese community’s presence on campus and enhancing its relations with Purdue’s student body, organizations, and local businesses. As of now – I help transform TSA into a formal student organization as its president, involving corporate partners and sponsors as well as constructing TSA’s official alumni network.
